What did the world's first photograph look like?

In 1826 or 1827, French inventor Nicéphore Niépce created what is widely recognized as the earliest surviving photograph using a polished pewter plate coated with bitumen of Judea. The exposure lasted around eight hours, making it one of the most extraordinary achievements in the history of photography.

This breakthrough laid the foundation for modern cameras and photography as we know it today.

Were Khnumhotep and Niankhkhnum the world's first recorded same-sex couple?

More than 4,400 years ago in Ancient Egypt, these two royal officials were buried together in a shared tomb at Saqqara. Their famous wall reliefs depict them embracing and touching noses—an intimate pose that has led some historians to believe they may have been lovers.

However, the truth remains a mystery. Other Egyptologists argue they may have been brothers or even twins, as no surviving inscription explicitly defines their relationship.
