Behind those shiny medals and race-day smiles, this is the part na bihira nating mai-post: pure, raw exhaustion.

​We always celebrate the finish lines, pero the truth in triathlon training? Napaka-brutal talaga. It’s the tiring mornings, heavy legs, and days like today na sobrang overwhelming na ng (swim/bike, and/or) run sessions. When I saw Jiro crying after the run workout today, masakit din sa puso bilang magulang. Napi feel ko yung pagod niya.
Grabe na push ang limits niya ngayon.

Balong, okay lang mapagod at maiyak. Just cry it out and rise above the challenge.

FIRST MEDAL EVENT AT THE 20th ASIAN GAMES AICHI-NAGOYA

The first medal event of the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will be TRIATHLON Men’s Individual with three Filipino triathletes set to represent Team Philippines 🇵🇭: Kim Remolino, Fernando Casares and Inaki Lorbes.

They will take on Asia’s best triathletes in a battle for the first medals of the Games with hopes of giving the Philippines an early podium finish.

Can one of our three Filipino triathletes make history by winning the Philippines’ first medal of the 20th Asian Games?
