Maraming salamat po sa DOST Eastern Visayas, DOST Philippines, sa pagkakataong maibahagi ang kuwento ng KiKa GAWA ARCO. Malaking inspirasyon po ito sa amin upang lalo pang magsikap at ipagpatuloy ang paglilingkod sa aming komunidad sa pamamagitan ng agham, teknolohiya, at sama-samang pagkilos.

We came to Tacloban expecting only one thing—to receive our plaque as the Provincial CEST Winner.(pero hopeful na maging Regional winner🤞)
More than the award itself, we wanted our senior members and fellow cooperative members to experience the joy of being recognized. We wanted them to stand proudly on that stage and feel that all their years of hard work, sacrifices, and dedication truly mattered.

But God had a greater plan.

Not only did KiKa GAWA ARCO receive the plaque as Provincial Winner—we were also proclaimed the Regional CEST Winner, along with two Special Awards:
🏆 Science & Technology and Culture Awardee 🏆 Sustainable Health and Nutrition Awardee

This victory belongs to every member who believed in our vision, every partner who supported us, and every community that walked this journey with us.

Sometimes, we prepare ourselves for one blessing, only to discover that God has been preparing something far greater.

To God be all the glory. 💚🙏

Yesterday, reminded us that perfection isn't what matters most—it's purpose, passion, and perseverance.
Our hearts are full of gratitude as we welcomed the DOST Regional Board of Judges namely; Mr.Christian Lauzon, Mr. Francisco Barredo and Dr. Analyn Españo, together with Dr. Lucia Dauz from DOST Eastern Visayas ...
Despite our limitations and the areas we know we still need to improve, we proudly shared the story of KiKa—our journey, our people, and our commitment to serving the community through science, technology, and innovation.
More than the validation itself, we are truly grateful for the encouragement, valuable insights, and constructive recommendations you shared with us. Your words inspired us, affirmed that we are on the right path, and challenged us to keep improving for the benefit of the communities we serve.
Thank you to everyone who stood with us, Dost Eastern Samar who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and believed in our vision. Whatever the outcome, this experience has inspired us to keep growing and doing better.

Yesterday, the KiKa family mourns the loss of one of our own.

You were never the quiet one. You made us laugh, challenged our ideas, spoke your mind without fear, and proudly told everyone about KiKa. Sometimes we laughed when you would boast about what KiKa could become, but now we realize that behind your words was a heart that simply wanted the best for all of us.
You believed in KiKa even when the road was difficult. You saw a future that you hoped we would one day reach.

Maybe you left with dreams you still wanted to see fulfilled. We cannot promise how long the journey will take, but we promise that we will continue building the KiKa you believe in. Every milestone we reach will carry a part of your dream.

Thank you for the joy you brought, for the courage to speak honestly, and for believing that our group could become something extraordinary.

Rest peacefully. You may no longer walk beside us, but you will always remain in our hearts our dearest KiKa Irene / Segundina Pagatpat Odevilas
