Hindi naman masama magbenta ng rabbit, pero kung breeder ka, responsibilidad mong alam mo kung ano talaga ang hawak mo.

Breeding is not just about making sales, it’s about knowledge, proper selection, honest labeling, and preserving the breed.

Kulay lang ang nakikita ng buyer. Pero ang breeder, dapat alam niya kung ano ang nasa likod ng kulay na ’yan. 🐇

To all newbies, huwag basta maniwala sa label. Ask questions, ask for cert/peds, know the bloodline, and learn basic genetics. Libre lang ho ang magtanong😁

One of the biggest lesson na natutunan ko in breeding rabbits ay

Learn to cull. Cull with purpose. Huwag hayaang awa ang magdikta ng breeding decisions mo.

It sounds harsh. I know it does. Especially if you genuinely care about your animals. I do too. But avoiding culling is not kindness. It slowly creates more problems and more suffering over time.

Kapag ginagamit mo pa rin ang rabbit na may poor genetics, recurring health issues, poor mothering instincts, unstable temperament, o pangit ang structure, huwag mong asahan na magically mawawala ang traits na ‘yan. Genetics don’t lie. Mas madalas, lalabas lang ulit sa offspring at minsan mas malala pa.

Usually ito yung mga common problem;

Mga Does na lose litter after litter or harm/overgroom their kits
Kits that do not grow right or struggle from the start
Rabbits with constant digestive issues or weak structure
Skittish or aggressive behavior that makes handling stressful

at madami pang iba.

Before calling yourself a Breeder tanungin mo muna sarili mo kung BREEDER ka ba talaga o baka naman propagator lang?🤷🏻‍♂️

Kung may lumalabas na seryosong fault, huwag niyong i-gaslight ang sarili niyo na “baka okay lang” o “baka next litter magiging maayos.” Harapin niyo agad.

BREED TO IMPROVE NOT JUST TO PRODUCE. 🐇
