It is a humble grocery store, which only started with two adding machines. With the overwhelming and unexpected support it received from the locals of Teresa, the owners were then inspired to branch out to neighboring towns. In 2000, Thriftmart Inc. opened its second branch in Morong, Rizal, its third branch in Tanay, Rizal in 2007 and its 4th branch in Binangonan, Rizal in 2014. Despite the rigid
competition in the field of trading, Thriftmart Inc. has continued to grow - from two adding machines to seven POS machines per branch. It has been working hand in hand with small scale retailers in having a mutually flourishing business. It has also been assisting savvy shoppers meet their tight budgets by having the most reasonable prices. Currently, Thriftmart Inc. has over a hundred of employees- all of which are from Teresa, Morong, Tanay, and Binangonan as the owners believe that the success of their business should be shared to their “kababayans” by providing them jobs. With the continuous expansion and growth of the business, the owners recount that they still reflect on the unassuming roots of their business. They attest that they don’t owe the success up to themselves but rather to the people who have undyingly patronized the grocery store throughout the years.
