It’s a brand new coffee year this October, and what better way to celebrate than by sending our very first direct shipment of Philippine coffee to Canada!

After years of working with one of our long-time coffee partners, we’re excited to finally make this pilot shipment directly to The Great White North. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Our partner has been bringing small batches of our coffee to Canada for some time, but as the demand continues to grow, we’ve reached the point where it makes sense to ship directly.

And for us, that means something even more exciting: another market opening up for our local coffee farmers.

Every new market means another opportunity to introduce Philippine coffee to more people, create stronger demand for locally grown beans, and hopefully open more doors for the farmers and communities behind them.

This may be a pilot shipment, but we’re pretty excited about where this maiden voyage could lead.

A big thank you to Mayor Ruffy Biazon, the City Government of Muntinlupa - OFFICIAL, LEIPO Muntinlupa, as well as PLDT Cares for putting together programs that genuinely empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Running a business comes with its fair share of challenges, so having a city government that actively creates opportunities, offers support, and brings local entrepreneurs together makes a world of difference.

During the Muntinlupa MSME Day, we had the chance to connect with fellow business owners, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships to help us all grow. On top of that, the informative talks gave us valuable insights that we can directly apply to our business!

After a few weeks of waiting, we finally got the go signal to deliver another shipment headed to one of our partners in the US! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡­β˜•πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This shipment brings together coffees from different parts of the Philippines:

🌱 Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya
🌱 Lipa, Batangas
🌱 Sta. Maria, Laguna

But what makes this shipment even more exciting is that four coffee origins are making their debut in the US market! πŸŽ‰

β˜• Excelsa from Lamitan, Basilan
β˜• Liberica from Candelaria, Quezon
β˜• Liberica from SNA, Sultan Kudarat
β˜• Robusta from SNA, Sultan Kudarat

Our farmers and farming communities have worked hard to grow, harvest, process, and prepare these beans for their journey across the ocean.

This shipment is an opportunity for more farmers to introduce their coffees to a new market, build new relationships, and hopefully open more doors for what comes next.

Our farmers and farming communities are looking forward to seeing where these coffees go from here. And honestly, so are we!

One shipment, several origins, and hopefully many more stories to come.

They’re the real heroes of this coffee story. Because, well… without them, what exactly would we be drinking in the morning? 😁
