In 2015, StrongSouth Clothing was born not just from a passion for nature, but from the very heart of my journey through it.
I grew up in Cavite City, where typhoons like Typhoon Sisang shaped my early experiences. Later, moving to Bicol, I witnessed Typhoon Reming, which devastated the region.
Those storms taught me more than resilience; they taught me the importance of supporting the local community in times of struggle.
StrongSouth wasn’t just about clothes; it was a representation of local pride, strength, and the good vibes that come from standing together during hard times.
The brand was rooted in respect for nature, the sea, and the struggles that our communities face, whether through natural disasters or day-to-day challenges.
While the vision and message were strong, inconsistency became the biggest hurdle.
Despite the passion, the brand couldn’t maintain steady momentum, and StrongSouth faded out. But I didn’t give up.
In 2019, I launched Kapredos Coffee, carrying the same values and spirit forward. This time, it wasn’t just about selling coffee, it was about connecting with communities, providing support, and continuing to fight for a better tomorrow for those who need it most.
Every bottle sold wasn’t just a product, it was a message of solidarity with local struggles and resilience.
But again, I ran into the same challenge: inconsistency. There were moments of growth, but there were also gaps where I wasn’t showing up the way I should have.
However, the heart of the brand message of supporting local communities and fighting for better futures never faded.
Here’s what I’ve learned through both journeys:
True strength is built by weathering storms together and consistently showing up for your community.
Success isn’t just about passion—it’s about fighting for your values, every day.
So today, I’m committed to this promise:
🛠 StrongSouth will rise again.
☕ Kapredos Coffee is just getting started.
This time, with more focus, more discipline, and a renewed commitment to support the local community in their struggles whether it’s overcoming natural disasters or pursuing a better future.
Both brands were born from the lessons of the past, and both are rooted in the fight for something greater than just business.
They’re about uplifting each other and standing strong through the struggles.
The comeback is brewing.
And I’m here for it, ready to keep supporting our local fight and continue our passion.
Mazal!
