Brief Historical Background

With firm conviction, a group from Bitangjol Family met with one business idea – Water Refilling Station.

The idea did not come as a magic word but a borrowed business scenario from the friends of Fr. Sixto M. Bitangjol who went from one water refilling station to another. While he was assigned in the Queen City of the South, particularly at the prestigious University of San Jose – Recoletos, he contacted some business persons who run some business establishments. After some orientation, Fr. Bitangjol braced the business parlance of creating one through the Water Refilling Station.

While Fr. Bitangjol was inside the SM Food Court while eating alone and trying to figure out the different names, he was able to arrive at a name Misty Fortune – with a semblance that this Fortune is coming from early morning dew drops brought about by the mist and converted into a water.

Driven with a purpose to help uplift the family and create an educational assistance, he convened the family for an outing in Boracay and with an ocular visit to different water refilling station to convince the family of the growing business market.

It was during vacation time when Fr. Bitangjol convened the family on who will be willing to invest to start the Water Refilling Station. It started with Fr. Bitangjol, OAR, Sr. Ma. Auxencia P. Bitangjol, RVM, Alberto Bitangjol, Lirissa C. Monte de Ramos, Auxencia B. Cajara and Archimedes B. Cajara. They agreed that Archimedes will do the legwork of preparing the permits and other requirement of the government agencies. Along the way, financial problems arose due to lack of funds, Fr. Bitangjol has to augment some amount in order to let the operation flow smoothly. Lirissa also contributed to help complete the plans of the building.

On September 5, 2010, after completing the building and all the requirements, a Eucharistic Celebration was held inside the Misty Fortune Water Refilling Station was blessed after the Mass and was opened with only 45 pesos as the starting amount in the operation. Recalling back, in the homily of Fr. Bitangjol, there was a mention that this water refilling station will be a channel to help others and even assist those who are in need of education. There was an unselfish motives to do business. Lo and behold, from the water refilling station, many were able to finish their education not from the family but from those who are in need of education.

Turn of events have really clouded the minds of some greedy and ruthless people. The objectives were not aligned to the person who desired to what it would be. Corruption, greed and calloused attitudes lurked and marred the relationship. In order to avoid more conflicts, suggestions came to cease the membership of the other members of the family due to bad and evil influence of some-not-well-intended personalities of the other side of the family. But, the pain loomed more as it has to stop as Misty Fortune Water Purified Water but created a new name – MISTY FOUNTAIN WATER REFILLING STATION and give way to the original MISTY FORTUNE PURIFIED WATER.
