She has never seen Filipino food as something to be catalogued or kept behind glass. It belongs where it always has—in family kitchens, around crowded tables, at neighborhood gatherings, and in the routines that naturally hold everyday life together. Over the years, she has returned to the same belief: If you want to understand Filipinos, pay attention to the meals they prepare, the tables they gather around, and the memories those meals carry. “I believe that people of this generation should know our roots, where we come from, who we are, through what we eat,” Aspiras observes.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2026 Philippine Culinary Cup (PCC), the only WorldChefs-certified culinary competition in the country, organized by WOFEX and LTB Philippines Chefs Association. Thank you for sharing your talent, time and effort and for exhibiting strong competitive spirit and camaraderie.

Congratulations to City of Dreams, the Overall Champion in the Professional Division and Lyceum Philippines University-Laguna, the Overall Champion in the Amateur Division. Chef of the Year went to John Palacol and Pastry Chef of the Year went to Jeriel Encarnado, both from LPU-Laguna. Congratulations Chefs!

Congratulations to all the winners of the 2026 Philippine Culinary Cup especially City of Dreams and LPU-Laguna who took top honors in the professional and amateur divisions, respectively.

WOFEX Manila 2026 may have ended but our work doesn't end there. From 2022, WOFEX began to connect farmer organizations with its network of end-users from different market segments. This documentary sheds light on one aspect where WOFEX, and eventually Farm Forward Initiatives, or FFI, was involved.

In 2023, WOFEX actively supported efforts to help farmers sell the tomatoes they were throwing away. Working with different stakeholders especially the different regional offices of the DA, we embarked on co-creating long term and sustainable solutions that would be a win from Farm to Fork. This is one of our many stories working with all our stakeholders but most especially, our farmers.
