Guacamole + Greek Yogurt = ❤️🥑 Shrug off the heatwave with our recipe for this refreshing dip!
Yogurt adds to the creamy, velvety taste of guacamole, slows browning, and makes it probiotic. Perfect for snacks, mains and salads.
What you’ll need:
1 large ripe avocado, scooped out (abt 1 and 1/3 cup)
1 medium tomato, chopped fine (approx 1/2 cup)
1 small onion, white, chopped fine (approx 1/3 cup)
4 tbsp Simply Yogurt Greek Yogurt
1 tbsp cilantro/wansoy, chopped fine
1 tbsp lime or green lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt (more or less to taste)
1/2 tsp paprika
1/3 tsp cumin (more or less, to taste)
1/3 tsp cayenne (more or less, to taste)
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well, mashing the avocado as coarsely or finely as you wish (we prefer coarse to retain some texture). Taste and adjust seasoning.
Cover and rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 mins to allow flavors to meld. Enjoy with your favorite corn or flour tortillas and chips. We also love probiotic guac in burritos and on grain and veggie bowls.
Tip: Combine just the tomatoes and onions in a bowl, lightly salt, let rest for about 5 mins, and then drain before adding to the rest of the ingredients. Salt extracts water from them, and helps prevent the guacamole from becoming too watery.
