His father, Alfredo Cabang, was a veteran in World War Two and through farming, he was able to support his family. His father was able to send his children to school wherein Eduardo Cabang pursued the course of nursing. Eduardo Cabang worked as a nurse in the Ministry of Health, Kuwait for 10 years and a paramedic officer in Kuwait Oil Company for 18 years. Although he wasn’t always home, he grew
up in the farm and at the time was more than knowledgeable in the art of farming. Three years after inheritance, he planted mangoes that were the first fruit-bearing trees in the farm. In time, he was able to purchase more land and expand the farm. Eduardo initially started managing the farm as something to keep him busy during retirement but it turned out better than he has ever expected. His wife, Perla Cabang, is currently helping him to manage the farm. The farm is now overflowing with produce and farm animals. With integrated farming, he’s been able to make the most of the farm and subsequently was able to add more crops to his collection. His blossoming farm is now able to boast products such as dragon fruit, guava, cashew, calamnsi, bignay, lemon, star apple, banana, latex-less jackfruit, tamarind, Bangkok santol, and many more fruits. Even with the numerous amount of fruits, the farm is also complete with the bahay kubo vegetables; farm animals like turkeys, cows, native chickens, ducks, and goats; trees such as cotton, mahogany, narra, gmelina, acacia, ipil; and different bamboos. They’ve even got organic vinegar. Though the success of EDCA farm in Pangasinan is indisputable, Eduardo Cabang also has an establishment called EDCA Complex in Baguio City where he rents out various kinds of spaces.
