A few days ago, we had just gotten back from our wedding event and were looking forward to serving you again today.
Unfortunately, our shop was almost affected by the fire incident in Bonifacio. We had to quickly remove our built-in equipment and save whatever we could from inside the shop. It was a very frightening and overwhelming moment for us, especially seeing something we worked so hard for suddenly at risk.
In the middle of such a difficult situation, we were reminded of how kind and helpful people can be.
To our customers who immediately alerted us about the fire near Trifle Sundae, thank you for looking out for us and for taking the time to let us know.
To our family who immediately came to help, secured our things, and helped us move and keep our equipment and belongings safe, thank you. Your presence and support during those scary moments gave us so much comfort.
To the strangers who stepped in without hesitation, helped carry our equipment and belongings to safety, and even endured cuts from shattered glass just to help us, we truly cannot thank you enough. Your kindness means more to us than we can put into words.
To the firefighters and volunteers who worked tirelessly to control the fire and protect our shop and the surrounding area, thank you for your courage, hard work, and service.
And to everyone who stayed, checked on us, watched over our belongings, helped us clean up, or simply asked if we were okay, thank you. Every little act of kindness made a huge difference to us during such a scary time.
We may have lost some things, and our shop will need time to recover, but we are incredibly thankful that we were able to save so much.
Most importantly, we are grateful that our family, staff, and everyone who came to help are safe. That is what matters most. 🤍
Our hearts and prayers go out to all the families who were greatly affected by the fire. We pray for everyone who lost their homes, belongings, and livelihood, and we hope they are given the strength and support they need as they recover.
For now, Trifle Sundae will be temporarily closed as we assess the damage, make the necessary repairs, and slowly work on getting back on our feet.
We may need a little time, but we hope to see you again soon. We look forward to opening our doors and serving you once more. 🫶🏻
