If there is a bright side to the many quarantine months, it is the fact that it has given individuals and single moms like myself the chance to develop our skills, particularly in the kitchen. With no formal training in baking, I focused on free online r
esources, watched tutorials and experiences of fellow bakers, practiced and applied the tips. With the support of family and close friends, I have channeled my energies into creating what would be a small home-based business for our family. The cookies, cupcakes, brownies, loaves and cakes I passionately bake and which you bring to your homes, offices and private spaces, is a step towards my dreams of expanding my business and securing my son’s future.
