Bohol Chocolate Farm is located in Canmano, Sagbayan—one of the six municipalities where the iconic Chocolate Hills are found, alongside Carmen, Batuan, Bilar, Sierra Bullones, and Valencia.

We are working toward a vision where the Chocolate Hills become synonymous not only with their iconic beauty, but also with real, locally grown Bolanon chocolate—creating opportunities for farmers while promoting sustainable agriculture and responsible tourism.

We are approximately 30 minutes by road from both the world-renowned Chocolate Hills Viewing Deck in Carmen and the Port of Tubigon. For visitors coming from Cebu, entering through Tubigon offers a convenient and often more affordable way to begin their Bohol adventure and plan a more strategic countryside itinerary, with Bohol Chocolate Farm and the Chocolate Hills within easy reach.

The Chocolate Hills Natural Monument is a protected area, an important geosite of Bohol Island Geopark which remains on the Philippines’ UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.

UNESCO evaluators planted cacao and made choco hills in Bohol

Bohol is known worldwide for the Chocolate Hills—and we hope to see even more chocolate grow from the island itself through stronger cacao farming, local enterprise, and sustainable livelihoods.

That is why Bohol Chocolate Farm proudly supports Bohol’s continued UNESCO Global Geopark status, which helps protect our natural and cultural heritage while advancing responsible tourism, community education, and sustainable development.

We were honored to support the first Revalidation Mission of the Bohol Island Geopark, particularly through a meaningful experience at 4GeoN Club-Buenos Aires Elementary School in Carmen, Bohol.

During the visit, UNESCO evaluators Sungok Ju and Nire Kagaya personally planted cacao seedlings provided by Bohol Chocolate Farm—symbolizing growth, stewardship, and the future of sustainable cacao farming in Bohol.

They also joined learners in a chocolate molding activity, offering a simple but meaningful look at how cacao moves from farm to food, and how local agriculture can support education, culture, livelihood, and community identity.

We were grateful to share this experience with the Bohol Island Geopark team, Provincial Government of Bohol, Municipal Government of Carmen, school officials, learners, and community partners who continue to strengthen Bohol’s Geopark journey.

For us, conservation and development should grow together.

From planting cacao to molding chocolate, every experience becomes part of the story we pass on.

Bohol Chocolate Farm is proud to join the 4GEON Project Symposium and 1st Bohol Geoschools & 4GEON Clubs Awards happening today, September 1, 2026, at the Ceremonial Hall, New Provincial Capitol.

As part of the celebration of “Young Earth Stewards and Champions of Playful Geoeducation,” BCF is showcasing how Bohol’s agricultural heritage—particularly cacao farming and local chocolate production—can contribute to sustainable livelihoods, community development, and the preservation of our island’s unique identity.
