A Moment of Gratitude and Reflection

This photo was taken during Palawig in Barangay Fiesta 2025, when I visited former Mayor Greg Salvador. It was a pleasant visit — but it also reminded me of an unforgettable conversation we had back in 2023.

In one of the events of 2023 Town Fiesta celebration, he took a quiet moment to share words that I will never forget. He was aware of the pressures and the treatment I was facing then — but instead of criticizing, he offered encouragement and words that truly stayed with me.

He told me how much he appreciated my contributions to the Local Government Unit, especially in tourism development — how I initiated and launched the tourism tagline “San Andres: All the Best”, and how I worked for the establishment of the official social media accounts and website of San Andres.

And then he said something I will never forget:

“Dapat sa mga arog mong empleyado, pinapangalagaan ning LGU"

Those words carried weight. At that time, I was going through challenges at work — yet he chose to lift me up instead of adding to the burden. His advice reminded me that true leaders recognize the value of people who work with sincerity, integrity, and quiet dedication. Words that came from a leader who recognized effort, sincerity, and service — qualities that often go unnoticed.

Now, in 2025, as I visited him again during Palawig fiesta, I was reminded that real leaders are those who value people not just for what they do, but for the heart they put into their work.
