Mt. Magdiwata Eco Farm Resort is a tropical rainforest paradise hidden at the heart of Majestic and Legendary Mt. Magdiwata located at Barangay Bayugan 2, Municipality of San Francisco, Province of Agusan del Sur, Caraga Region established dated last July 18, 2020. It envisioned to be a self-sustaining ecological farm resort and learning center with a “farm-to-plate concept” using Republic Act No. 10816 “Farm Tourism Development Act of 2016” as the legal basis of its operation. It practices of attracting visitors to farm areas for production, educational and recreational purposes. It involves any agricultural-or fishery-based operation or activities that brings farm visitors, farmers and fisherfolk who want to be educated and trained on farming and its related activities, and provides a venue for outdoor recreational and accessible family outings. Magdiwata Eco Farm and Resort showcases and resemblances the beauty and bounty of Mt. It is adjacent both the buffer zone of 1,658 hectares Watershed Forest Reserve Area as declared by Presidential Proclamation No. 282 and the Certificate of the Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) by the OMAUBAO Tribal Clan Organization. With this, the farm resort abounds with diverse flora and fauna with a biodiversity inventory of 331 endemic plant species and 113 listed animals as a sanctuary of the most endangered wildlife like the Philippine deer, monkeys, Philippine tarsiers, wild boars, squirrels, eagles, snakes, and birds and a neighborhood of the dwelling place of a small Manobo Tribe called the “Magahat”. Magdiwata Eco Farm & Resort were very reach of wonders of nature and cultures of the indigenous people. The farm resort not just promoting farm tourism but also promoting the ecotourism, adventure tourism, food tourism and wellness tourism considering the preservation of protected rainforest and the culture of Manobo.
