Our Story
Ferino’s Bibingka is a family owned business that started in 1938.

It traces its root from a man of vision and industry – Lolo Ceferino Francisco. Lolo Ferino (or Koko as was fondly called by his apos), was said to have “discovered” his own concoction of bibingka during the period of the Second World War where Japanese invasion in the Philippines limited agricultural production to mostly basic commodities such as rice, sugar and egg. From these ingredients and ac

cording to his good taste, he endeavored to make his own version of the Philippine rice cake – the bibingka galapong. His entrepreneurial spirit and good-tasting bibingka brought him from being a small-time peanut vendor and musician to a restaurant-owner in Tondo where politicians and artists alike frequented. Ferino’s had its famous outlets in Manila Hotel and Cubao in the late 60s and 70s. Today, the legacy of Lolo Ferino is being continued by his ‘Third Generation’ (apos) bibingka makers. It has expanded to quite a number of outlets all over Metro Manila. We have now ventured into the ‘Franchising’ trend to further expand the business through partners who believe in our delicious famous product and have the passion to share their experience and put into business what lolo Ferino started.
