Only responsible breeders and pet owners will understand.
Iβve been receiving a lot of messages lately asking why βmy prices are so highβ, with people saying βAkala ko mga β±500 - β±1k langβ, so I wanted to take a moment to address it. π
I recently saw a rabbit at a pet store, a mixed breed with no real background, bright red eyes (not the ruby kind, but clearly sick), and it was walking around in its own urine and f***s, with just paper bedding. Wala ring alam ang staff kung anong breed, ilang taon na, o saan galing. Maraming murang rabbits ang nasa ganitong kondisyon. And, more often than not, I get messages from people who bought one of those cheap rabbits, only for it to pass away, leaving their child heartbroken and asking if I have a replacement.
So hereβs the thing, if youβre looking for a low-cost rabbit, weβre probably not the right fit for you. Itβs also important to note that messaging a breeder and asking them to lower their prices is rude. Hindi ka naman pumapasok sa SM para itanong sakanila to lower their prices, right?
We spend a lot of time and money on our rabbits. From the moment theyβre born, sinasanay na namin sila sa tao, bata, iba pang hayop, at household noises para maging well-adjusted sa future owners nila. We provide high-quality food (β±1600+ per bag na ilang araw lang nauubos), vitamins, deworming, enrichment etc.
Raising rabbits is expensive, and it takes a lot of hard work. We donβt cut corners, and we ask for a fair price for the care and quality we provide. So please, huwag baratin ang breeders.
And this isnβt just for rabbit breeders, It applies to everyone who runs a business. Whether youβre a farmer, breeder, artist, craftsman, or small business owner, we all invest time, effort, and money into what we do. So please, respect the price and the work behind it. π«Άπ»
