Title: Mananatiling Tapat sa Paglilingkod sa Kabila ng Maraming Pagsubok

Roma 8:35–39
By: Dr. Nilo H. Flores

Talata:

Aplikasyon

(Roma 8:38–39)

Saan Patungo ang Tao Pagkatapos Mamatay?

Mananampalataya at Hindi Mananampalataya

Panimula

I. Ang Patutunguhan ng Mananampalataya

“Absent from the body… present with the Lord” (2 Corinto 5:8)

➡️ Ibig sabihin:

2. Kaligayahan at Kapahingahan

“Today you will be with Me in paradise” (Lucas 23:43)

➡️ Walang sakit, walang luha, walang paghihirap
➡️ May kapayapaan at kagalakan sa langit

3. Pagkabuhay na Maguli sa Hinaharap

Sa pagbabalik ni Cristo:

Ang mga mananampalataya ay bubuhaying muli

Tatanggap ng maluwalhating katawan

Papasok sa buhay na walang hanggan

II. Ang Patutunguhan ng Hindi Mananampalataya

3. Huling Paghuhukom

➡️ Walang hanggang kaparusahan (Pahayag 20:11–15)

III. Dalawang Walang Hanggang Patutunguhan

Ayon sa Biblia:

Buhay na walang hanggan para sa mananampalataya

Kapahamakan o kaparusahan para sa hindi mananampalataya

“Some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2)

IV. Mahahalagang Katotohanan

✔ Ang kamatayan ay hindi wakas
✔ May kamalayan ang kaluluwa pagkatapos mamatay
✔ May darating na pagkabuhay na muli
✔ May huling paghuhukom

V. Paalala at Hamon

Ang pinakamahalagang tanong ay hindi:
“Ano ang mangyayari pagkatapos mamatay?”
kundi:
“Ano ang kalagayan mo bago ka mamatay?”

👉 Ang kaligtasan ay nasa kay Cristo lamang
👉 Ngayon ang panahon ng pagsisisi at pananampalataya

VI.
(Juan 1:12)
➡️ Ang pagtanggap kay Cristo ay:
✔ Personal na desisyon
✔ Pagtanggap sa Kanya bilang Panginoon at Tagapagligtas
✔ Pagbubukas ng puso sa Kanyang paghahari
A. Kilalanin
at muling nabuhay.
at tinatanggap Kita bilang aking Panginoon at Tagapagligtas.

Konklusyon

Ang tao ay may dalawang destinasyon lamang:

Langit kasama ang Diyos

Kapahamakan na hiwalay sa Diyos

Kaya’t habang may buhay pa:
👉 Manampalataya kay Cristo
👉 Mamuhay ng banal
👉 Ihanda ang sarili sa walang hanggan

The Final Judgment and the Eternal Destiny
Devotion from Revelation 20:10–15
By Dr. Nilo H. Flores
March 27, 2026

Introduction

Revelation 20:10–15 presents one of the most solemn and awe-inspiring scenes in all of Scripture—the final defeat of evil and the Great White Throne Judgment. This passage reminds us that history is not random; it is moving toward God’s final justice. Every soul will stand before a holy God, and eternity will be determined.

Full Text (KJV)

“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are…
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it…
And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books…
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
(Revelation 20:10–15)

Original Meaning (Greek Insights)

“Devil” (διάβολος – diabolos)
Meaning: accuser, slanderer. Satan’s role has always been to deceive and accuse humanity.

“Lake of Fire” (λίμνη τοῦ πυρός – limnē tou pyros)
A literal and eternal place of punishment—not symbolic annihilation, but conscious judgment.

“Judged” (ἐκρίθησαν – ekrithēsan)
From krinō, meaning to separate, decide, or render a verdict. This is a final, irreversible judgment.

“Books” (βιβλία – biblia)
Records of human deeds—nothing is hidden from God.

“Book of Life” (βίβλος τῆς ζωῆς – biblos tēs zōēs)
The divine registry of those who belong to God through faith.

“Second Death” (ὁ θάνατος ὁ δεύτερος – ho thanatos ho deuteros)
Eternal separation from God—not physical death, but everlasting punishment.

Three Main Truths

1. The Final Defeat of Satan (v.10)

Satan, the deceiver of nations, will ultimately be defeated. His power is temporary, but God’s victory is eternal.

Evil may seem strong now, but it has an appointed end.

God is never threatened by Satan.

The victory of Christ is already secured.

📖 Illustration: Like a criminal awaiting sentencing, Satan’s doom is certain—he only operates within God’s allowed time.

2. The Certainty of Divine Judgment (vv.11–13)

Every person, small and great, will stand before God.

No status, wealth, or religion can exempt anyone.

God’s judgment is based on truth and righteousness.

Every action, word, and motive is recorded.

📖 Illustration: Imagine standing in a courtroom where every hidden act of your life is displayed—this is the reality before God’s throne.

3. The Reality of Eternal Destiny (vv.14–15)

There are only two eternal destinations: life with God or separation from Him.

The “Book of Life” determines eternal security.

Those not found in it face the second death.

Salvation is not by works but by grace through faith.

📖 Illustration: Just as a name on a citizenship record grants legal identity, being written in the Book of Life grants eternal belonging.

Conclusion

Revelation 20:10–15 is not meant to terrify without purpose—it is meant to awaken the soul. God is just, holy, and righteous. Sin will not go unpunished, and righteousness will not go unrewarded.

The final judgment is not a possibility—it is a certainty.

Application

Examine your life: Are you truly in Christ?

Live with eternity in view: What you do now matters forever.

Share the Gospel: Many are not yet written in the Book of Life.

Walk in holiness: God sees everything.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with reverence, knowing that You are a holy and righteous Judge. Thank You for warning us through Your Word about the coming judgment. Help us to live lives that are pleasing to You. Search our hearts and assure us that our names are written in the Book of Life through faith in Jesus Christ. Give us boldness to share the Gospel with others, that they too may escape the second death.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

PAANO MALILIGTAS?

By Dr. Nilo H. Flores
God’s Part – Man’s Part

GOD’S PART

(Juan 3:16; Roma 5:8)

MAN’S PART

— 2 Corinto 5:17 (KJV)

Devotion on Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

Title: Prosperity That Comes from the Word
Text: Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
By: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
Date: December 17, 2025

Introduction

Joshua stood at a turning point in history. Moses, the great leader, was gone. The responsibility of leading Israel into the Promised Land now rested on Joshua’s shoulders. In this moment of pressure and transition, God did not give Joshua a military strategy or political advice. Instead, God pointed him to His Word. Joshua 1:8 reveals God’s divine formula for spiritual strength, wise living, and true success.

Joshua 1:8 (KJV):
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

I. God’s Word Must Dwell in Our Mouth

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth”

1. The Word is to be Spoken, Not Silenced
God’s Word was meant to be confessed, taught, and declared—not hidden or forgotten.

2. Faith is Strengthened by Speaking Scripture
When the Word stays in our mouth, it shapes our thinking and builds courage.

3. Spiritual Leadership Begins with the Word
Joshua could not lead others rightly unless God’s Word first ruled his own life.

Reference:
Deuteronomy 6:6–7; Romans 10:17

II. God’s Word Must Dwell in Our Mind

“But thou shalt meditate therein day and night”

1. Meditation Means Deep Thinking, Not Empty Thinking
Biblical meditation is filling the mind with God’s truth, not emptying it.

2. Day and Night Shows Consistency
God calls us to a continual relationship with His Word, not occasional reading.

3. Meditation Leads to Spiritual Stability
A mind anchored in Scripture is not easily shaken by fear or doubt.

Reference:
Psalm 1:2; Philippians 4:8

III. God’s Word Must Be Lived Out in Our Life

“That thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein”

1. Obedience Is the Goal of Meditation
God’s Word is not only to be known but to be obeyed.

2. Partial Obedience Is Not Full Obedience
God emphasized “all that is written,” not selective obedience.

3. True Success Follows Submission to God
Prosperity and success come after obedience, not before.

Reference:
James 1:22; John 13:17

Original Meaning (Hebrew Insight)

“Meditate” comes from the Hebrew word hagah, meaning to murmur, mutter, or speak softly. This implies repeating God’s Word until it sinks deeply into the heart.

“Prosperous” comes from tsalach, meaning to advance, to push forward, to succeed. It does not only mean material wealth but spiritual progress.

“Good success” comes from sakal, meaning to act wisely and with understanding. God’s success is wisdom-directed living.

In original meaning, God was promising Joshua wisdom-led progress, not worldly riches without righteousness.

Illustration

A farmer may own the best land, but if he never plants seeds or tends the soil, there will be no harvest. God’s Word is the seed. Speaking it is planting, meditating is watering, and obeying is harvesting. Many desire the harvest of success, but few commit to the daily discipline of the Word.

Conclusion

Joshua 1:8 teaches us that success in God’s eyes is not accidental—it is intentional. When the Word of God rules our mouth, fills our mind, and directs our actions, God Himself promises prosperity and good success. This is not the world’s success, but God’s approval, guidance, and blessing upon our lives.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your precious Word. Help us to keep it in our mouth, meditate on it day and night, and obey it with a willing heart. Teach us that true success comes from walking in Your will. Strengthen us, guide us, and make our lives fruitful for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

How to Go to Heaven

Text: John 14:6 (KJV)**
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

By: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
Date: November 25, 2025

Introduction

The greatest question any person can ask is: “How can I go to Heaven?”
Some rely on religion, some on good works, some on sincerity. But the Bible is clear: There is only one way—Jesus Christ.
Heaven is not earned by our effort but received through God’s grace. Here are the clear biblical steps to salvation.

8 Main Points (with Subpoints)

1. Realize That All Have Sinned

Romans 3:23 (KJV)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Subpoints:

Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2).

No one is righteous on their own (Romans 3:10).

Good deeds cannot erase sin (Ephesians 2:8–9).

2. Understand the Consequence of Sin

Romans 6:23a (KJV)
“For the wages of sin is death…”

Subpoints:

Sin leads to spiritual death.

Hell is real and eternal (Revelation 20:14–15).

Judgment is certain (Hebrews 9:27).

3. Repent of Your Sins

Acts 3:19 (KJV)
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out…”

Subpoints:

Repentance is a change of mind toward sin and toward God.

It means turning from sin and turning to Christ (1 Thessalonians 1:9).

True repentance and faith go together (Acts 20:21).

4. Believe That God Loves You

Romans 5:8 (KJV)
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Subpoints:

God loved you before you ever sought Him (1 John 4:19).

Christ died for sinners, not the righteous (1 Timothy 1:15).

Salvation is grounded in God’s grace.

5. Jesus Christ Is the Only Way to Heaven

John 14:6 (KJV)
“I am the way, the truth, and the life…”

Subpoints:

Jesus is not one of many ways—He is the only way.

No one reaches the Father except through Him.

His death and resurrection provide the only means of salvation.

6. Jesus Paid the Full Price for Salvation

1 Peter 3:18 (KJV)
“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins…”

Subpoints:

Jesus died in our place.

His blood cleanses from all sin (1 John 1:7).

His resurrection guarantees eternal life (Romans 10:9).

7. Salvation Is Received by Faith Alone

Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith…”

Subpoints:

Salvation is not of works.

Faith is trusting Christ fully and personally.

God saves instantly when we believe (Romans 10:10).

8. You Must Personally Receive Christ

Romans 10:13 (KJV)
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Subpoints:

Salvation is a personal decision.

God invites everyone—“whosoever.”

Receiving Christ brings assurance and eternal life.

Romans 6:23
Acts 3:19
Acts 20:21
Romans 5:8

Romans 10:9–13
1 John 1:7

Illustration

A man was running toward a burning house, not knowing it was collapsing. A firefighter shouted, “Stop! Turn around!”
The man turned—and his life was saved.

This is repentance:
Turning from danger and turning to the only One who can save—Jesus Christ.

Conclusion

Heaven is not about what we do but about what Jesus has already done.
To be saved, a person must:

Admit their sin,

Understand the consequences,

Repent sincerely,

Believe in God’s love,

Trust Jesus alone,

And personally receive Him.

Jesus Christ is the only way, the only Savior, and the only hope of eternal life.

Prayer

“Lord Jesus, I come to You acknowledging that I am a sinner. I repent of my sins and trust in You alone for my salvation. I believe You died, were buried, and rose again for me. Save me, forgive me, and make me Your child. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. Help me walk with You from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

🌄 Message Title: “Thank God for the Sierra Madre: God’s Natural Shield of Mercy”
📖 Text: Psalm 91:1–2 (KJV)

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

👤 Speaker: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
📅 Date: November 10, 2025

🌅 Introduction:

When Super Typhoon Uwan threatened Central Luzon, the hearts of many Filipinos trembled. The winds howled, the rains poured, and the fear of destruction filled the air. But when Uwan reached the mighty Sierra Madre, something powerful happened — the storm weakened. It was as if the mountain stood as God’s wall of protection for our people.

Beloved, this is not mere coincidence — it is the hand of God at work. The Sierra Madre is not just a mountain range; it is a weapon of mercy, a shield of grace, and a testimony that God still protects those who trust in Him.

🌳 Main Points:

1. God Uses His Creation to Protect His People

📖 Psalm 104:32 (KJV) — “He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.”

God can command nature to do His will. The Sierra Madre is not just a mountain—it’s a divine design. When Uwan came, God used this mountain as a barrier to weaken the storm. Just as He used a fish to save Jonah, a wind to part the Red Sea, and a star to guide the wise men—He used Sierra Madre to save Central Luzon.

🪶 Lesson: The same God who controls the storm can use any part of His creation to protect you.

2. God’s Protection is a Sign of His Unfailing Mercy

📖 Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV) — “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Though we are often unfaithful, God remains merciful. The weakening of Uwan is a picture of His grace. It reminds us that even when judgment seems near, His mercy still prevails.

🕊️ Lesson: The protection we receive is not because we deserve it—but because of His love and mercy.

3. God Deserves Our Thanksgiving and Trust

📖 Psalm 107:1 (KJV) — “O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

The people of Central Luzon have witnessed the power of God’s protection. Now, our response must be thanksgiving and trust. We must not only thank Him for sparing us, but also trust Him to sustain us. Let us not take the Sierra Madre for granted, but thank God who made it stand as our shield.

🌾 Lesson: Gratitude is the key to continued blessing. A thankful heart keeps you close to the Giver.

📚 Illustration:

A farmer in Nueva Ecija once said, “Kung wala ang Sierra Madre, baka wala na rin kami.” When Uwan hit, his fields were spared because the winds weakened before reaching them. He lifted his hands and said, “Salamat sa Diyos, ginamit Niya ang bundok para protektahan kami.”

In the same way, many of us were spared — not by our strength, but by the Lord’s hand working through nature.

🌈 Conclusion:

The Sierra Madre may be called the "backbone of Luzon," but in truth, God is the real backbone of our protection. He is our refuge, our fortress, and our deliverer.

Let us continue to thank Him, trust Him, and take care of His creation — because it is part of His divine plan for our safety.

🙏 Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
We thank Thee for Thy mercy and protection upon Central Luzon. Thank You for using the Sierra Madre as a shield against Typhoon Uwan. Truly, You are our refuge and fortress in times of storm.
Teach us to be grateful, to care for Your creation, and to trust You in every trial. May we always remember that Your power is greater than any storm, and Your love endures forever.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.
