Just spotted the very first sprout of my Golden Nugget pepper.

This unique heirloom variety starts out as a glossy, deep purple pod before ripening into a brilliant golden-yellow. It’s gorgeous to look at, but packs a serious cayenne-level punch (30,000 to 50,000 SHU) once mature. Can't wait to watch this little jewel grow!

Finally crossed "Taste Pakaskas" off the bucket list! Found this legendary delicacy in Isla Verde, and it’s a game-changer for my morning coffee. It’s made from pure palm tree nectar, giving it a smoky, creamy sweetness that’s unlike anything else. A lot of hard work goes into these little leaf-wrapped circles, and you can definitely taste the soul in it.

NCR has great coffee, but 528 Ilawod Cafe in Daraga is on a whole different level.

I tried the Tres Dragones, and it was beyond anything expectation. The way the sour notes hit and then fade into a dark chocolate finish all while smelling like a vintage fruity w**e is something you have to experience to believe.

As a traveler, I never know when to ho back in this part of the world, and I’m already missing the taste. If you’re in Albay, do yourself a favor and visit 528 Ilawod Cafe. You won’t just find coffee you’ll find a new dimension of flavor and experience.

The smell alone takes me back. That unmistakable aroma of garlic, pork broth, and patis (eto yung tawag namin sa Tuyo 😂) it’s the scent of Iloilo.
