I studied Mass Communication because I believed the truth could change lives.
Because journalism was never just a career, it was a responsibility to the Filipino people.
We were taught to ask questions.
To challenge power.
To speak for those who cannot.
But nowadays, something broke me.
Today, journalism feels restricted.
Mainstream media is no longer free, it is influenced, controlled, and pressured by powerful interests.
Voices are silenced. Narratives are shaped.
And the truth is treated like a threat.
The people suffer the most.
Filipinos are left confused, divided, and in the dark.
But let me say that Journalism is not dead! Truth is not powerless!
It only takes brave journalists to stand again.
To my fellow media workers remember why you started.
Remember who you serve.
Not politicians. Not corporations.
But the Filipino people.
In a system that fears honesty,
telling the truth is no longer just a job, IT IS AN ACT OF COURAGE
And courage is what this country needs now more than ever 🇵🇭
