Genesis 22:14 (NIV)
“So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, ‘On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.’”
💭 Devotion:
In one of the hardest tests of faith, Abraham was asked to give up his beloved son, Isaac. Yet even in that moment of pain and uncertainty, he trusted God completely. Just when everything seemed impossible, God provided — not only a ram for sacrifice but a powerful reminder that He sees and cares for our every need.
Sometimes, like Abraham, we walk through seasons where we don’t understand what God is doing. But faith means believing that on the mountain of testing, God’s provision will appear. He may not provide what we expect, but He always provides what we truly need — in His time, in His way.
The name Jehovah Jireh reminds us that God is our faithful provider — not just of material things, but of peace, strength, and grace to keep going.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being my Jehovah Jireh — my Provider. Even when I don’t see the answer yet, help me to trust that You will provide in Your perfect time. Strengthen my faith to believe that on every mountain, You are already there, making a way. Amen.
