Kusina ni KUSINERA Catering Services came into being on December 12, 1990 in the historic Old Makati. It was a husband and wife collaboration- Crispin Guerrero Peralta was a pioneer in the hotel industry as an ordinary employee who had a keen interest in food service and Teresa Jocson Peralta, then a Hotel and Restaurant Management student at Ph
ilippine Women’s University. Earlier in 1990, the young couple decided to convert their family owned apartment into a small diner serving only Teresa’s four lady boarders working in an office nearby and some travelling bank auditors of then Far East Bank and Trust Company thru the invitations of a bank officer. The daily lunch and extra orders of dinner at times keep the couple’s kitchen busier when requests to deliver packed lunch came from other two Far East Bank and Trust Company branches- one in Pacific Star Building along Buendia Avenue and the other along Makati Avenue. Words of praises for the lutong bahay deliveries spread rapidly that the couple hired two delivery boys reaching Ayala Avenue area to the hidden offices including then Senator Joseph Estrada’s senatorial staff. Teresa’s home cooked kare kare, rellenong bangus, barbeque, leche flan and pastillas de leche became such a byword that special orders began to pour in bulk and for special ocasions- including dinners for the Estrada’s in San Juan: a driver or two would come to the couple’s abode in Don Pedro Street and pick up pots of kare kare, hundred sticks of barbeque, dozens of relleno and tons of leche flan and pastillas de leche. The couple’s first catering events were the early christmas parties of Far East Bank and Trust Company Makati Avenue Branch and Baptist Church Publications in Poblacion simultaneously. Waiters off duty from then Mandarin Hotel served the guests totaling 170 pax. On that same month of December 12, 1990 Kusina ni KUSINERA Catering Services was registered by Crispin at the Department of Trade and Industry. Today, Kusina ni KUSINERA Catering Services holds Crispin’s legacy in the progressive City of Santa Rosa, Laguna serving the posh villages nearby, the booming businesses in the PEZA managed industrial and technology parks in Laguna and reaching as far as the Calabarzon. The company continues to compete among the bests in the industry and will abide by it's mission to deliver good food and impeccable service headed by Crispin’s widow, Teresa together with their children: Roi and Ria leading the planning and creative department while Christtian heads the service staff and crew.
