A peaceful night at Rad Farmstead. 🌙 Taking care of our broiler chicks requires constant warmth, especially during the cold hours.

In this video, we are using a DIY hanging can heater with charcoal to keep the temperature steady. We’ve also layered the floor with rice hulls (ipa) for natural insulation and added a couple of 25-watt bulbs to provide both extra warmth and light so the chicks can find their feed and water easily.

Farming never stops, and the night shift is where the magic happens! 🐣💪
