The Municipality of 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁, known for its historical significance—also home to the Santa Monica Church, the largest and longest church in the province and an Important Cultural Property. The town boasts a rich history, including its role in various revolts and its designation as the former capital of Ilocos Norte. According to the 2024 census, it had a population of 26,294 people with a growth rate of 1.04%. A total of 1,108 people were added since 2020.
