2nd Commencement Exercise
Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II

Poultry-Chicken NC II: Teaches maintenance of poultry housing, brooding chicks, laying activities, and beak trimming for broiler/layer chickens.

TESDA's Animal Production NC II is a Philippine technical-vocational qualification for raising poultry (chicken), swine (pigs), and ruminants (cattle, goats, sheep) for meat/milk, teaching farm safety, animal care, breeding, housing, and biosecurity. It's offered in specializations like Ruminants, Swine, and Poultry, involves hands-on training (e.g., 300+ hours), requires basic documents (birth cert, diploma), and leads to careers as farmers, raisers, or entrepreneurs. Graduates get certified by TESDA after assessment.

Wavecrest Integrated Farm successfully conducted its Training Induction Program (TIP) for the Animal Production (Poultry-Chicken) NC II, facilitated by the TESDA Provincial Office led by the dynamic and highly supportive Provincial Director, Dir. Rolando V. Bade, together with the PO UTPRAS Focal, Ma’am Lerma C. Parado. The event was also graced by the presence of Silago PESO Manager/OHD/CTEC, Sir Arabie Saudi C. Tomol and Barangay Balagawan Official, Hon. Allan Salinas.

The program was purposefully held to orient the scholars on the nature of the qualification they are engaged in, and to ensure they are well-informed about the policies that must be strictly observed throughout the training. The goal is not to discourage them, but to help them appreciate the importance of the training and the benefits they may gain during and after the course.
