𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞, 𝐈𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚 𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐅𝐀𝐑 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐤𝐬𝐲𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚

“ Isinagawa ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) ang 2nd National Tilapia Dialogue noong Oktubre 3, 2025, sa Clark, Pampanga. Layunin ng aktibidad na pagtipunin ang mga stakeholder ng industriya ng tilapia upang pag-usapan ang mga hamon, magbahagi ng kaalaman, at magmungkahi ng mga solusyon para mapaunlad pa ang produksyon ng tilapia sa bansa.

Bilang bahagi ng dalawang araw na aktibidad, nagsagawa rin ng pagpupulong ang PhilTilapia, Inc. noong Oktubre 2, na pinangunahan ni Philtilapia President Florendo G. Juico Jr., kung saan labinlimang (15) Board of Trustees ang nahalal. Ang nasabing meeting ay nagsilbing pagkakataon upang palakasin ang ugnayan ng mga miyembro at magtakda ng mga bagong layunin para sa pagpapaunlad ng industriya.

Ang tilapia ay isa sa mga pangunahing isda sa ating bansa—mura, masustansya, at nagbibigay ng kabuhayan sa maraming Pilipino. Gayunman, nananatili pa rin ang ilang problema sa industriya tulad ng mataas na production cost, post-harvest losses, at mga hamon sa marketing. Sa pamamagitan ng dialogue na ito, sama-samang tinalakay ng mga kalahok kung paano mapapanatiling matatag at mas produktibo ang sektor.

Dumalo sa programa sina BFAR National Director Atty. Elizer D. Salilig at BFAR Regional Director Wilfredo M. Cruz, na kapwa nagbigay ng mensahe ng suporta para sa pagpapaunlad ng industriya ng tilapia. Nagpaabot din ng mensahe sina DA Undersecretary for Fisheries Drusila Esther E. Bayate at Isidro M. Velayo, Jr., MDM Assistant Director for Technical Services, bilang pagkilala sa patuloy na pagsisikap ng BFAR at ng mga katuwang nito upang mapaunlad ang aquaculture industry ng bansa.

Ang aktibidad ay inorganisa ng Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources at BFAR National Freshwater Fisheries Technology Center (NFFTC) sa pangunguna ni Center Chief ng BFAR-NFTC at National Focal Person para sa Tilapia, Ma. Jodecel C. Danting, DFT. Ang mga output mula sa dialogue ay magsisilbing batayan sa pag-update ng Philippine Tilapia Industry Roadmap at magiging input din para sa nalalapit na 7th National Tilapia Congress.” - BFAR
