I've been receiving calls and texts from anonymous numbers way before, nag-aalok ng loans, apps, lending apps and eme eme, alam kong scam per this time iba.
Yesterday, early morning nakareceive ako ng call and text blasts, as in tadtad, all from anonymous numbers, saying that I filed a loan online. Which I never applied talaga and receive any money.
TEEE, umpisa palang pagkasagot ko ng call, pasigaw na agad, tinatanong name ko, tapos galit talaga.
Para sa mga naka tanggap ng text or call about my name na kesyo umutang (DAW) ako sa isang online lending application, pls REFRAIN TO PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOU OR ME. THEY WILL USE IT AND SCAM YOU.
I am posting this to get attention from someone higher or who has the power to help these poor victims who continually harassed and humiliated by these online lending apps, and to warn others not to use or try these lending apps. They will ruin your life. Oo cyst matrigger ka talaga grrr.
Please ignore this scammer when you receive any of their messages.
If any of you received/s a call under a lending firm or a specific online name saying we used you as a reference for a loan, please disregard and block the number immediately. They had access to my contacts and used my name to scam. Do not entertain such calls/texts, for they use different numbers. Again, THIS IS A SCAM.
Identity theft occurs when a criminal gains access to your personal information ( such as your Name. Address, Date of Birth or Bank Account Details) to steal money or gain other benefits. Even if you think thieves only have a small amount of information about you , they can use it to find more information about you , including photographs , your date and place of birth and even information about your family.They can also use your personal information to create fake identity documents in your name or even apply for a real identity documents in your name, but with another person's photograph. They also sent you weblinks, referrals, application links, business opportunities with links where you can download apps that Access your contacts and medias.
You will receive app ads blast that you never installed , opened or searched.
You will suddenly received messages in your emails about other companies offer.
They will sell your informations to other companies and dark webs .
How does identity theft occur?
They may attempt to gain your personal information using a number of different techniques including:
- Phishing -you may provide personal information over the phone or internet to what appears to be a legitimate business, but it's actually a scam.
-Hacking into your online accounts,
-Retrieving your personal information from social media and
- Illegally accessing information about you which is stored on a business database.
What can happen as a result of identity theft?
If they steals your identity, they must use it to:
-Trick your bank or financial institution into giving them access to your money and other accounts.
-Open new accounts so you don't receive statements .
- Open a phone , or other internet service under your name.
-Claim government benefits in your name.
-Lodge fraudulent claims for tax refunds in your name and preventing you from being able to Lodge your legitimate return.
-Use your name to plan or commit criminal activity.
-Pretend to be you to embarrass or misrepresent you through social media.
These are the online lending apps who illegally operating in the Philippines. Mostly they doesn't have proper or actual offices because they knew they are illegal.
•They will harass you and give threats if you will not pay for the loans.
•They will text blast your contacts and friends lists in social media that you have scammed their company .
•They will played as victims by you as a scammer in their company.
•They will send fake letters of appearance to the court,, Subpoena notarized by fake attorneys.
•They will use fake names of Authorities such as NBI, Attorneys, Government officials.
