OPING makes artisanal chili garlic sauce using pure canola oil. The garlic and siling labuyo used are fresh, handpicked, and locally sourced to help small-scale farmers. A perfect addition to your meals to make them tastier and spicier without the guilt. His family instantly loved the sweet, garlicky, savoury, and spicy notes that the hot sauce had. From that day on, he would make simple dishes and pair them with his very own variations of hot sauces, using all fresh ingredients. Relatives and friends would usually ask for his homemade chili garlic oil, and eventually, they added the bagoong, kagikit, and buro to the list of items. Why not sell it and turn it into a business, they reasoned. Therefore, out of this pandemic, he wanted to share the flavours he put on the table for his family.
