From farm to jar! 🌿 Our team headed over to Terra Verde Ecofarm in Maragondon, Cavite, for an inspiring session on Bamboo to Business: Food Preservation and Thermal Processing of Bamboo Shoots.

Together with local farmers and community members, we spent the morning diving deep into practical food preservation methods specifically designed for locally harvested bamboo shoots. But we didn't just talk theory—we rolled up our sleeves for a hands-on workshop preparing delicious pickled bamboo shoot atsara!

Isa sa pinakamalaking hamon para sa ating mga farmers ang pagiging seasonal ng mga ani—tulad ng labong (bamboo shoot) na kapag sabay-sabay na tumubo, mabilis ding masira kung hindi maagapan.

Kaya naman masayang ibinabahagi namin ang naganap na Food Preservation Training nitong September 24, 2026 sa Terra Verde Ecofarm and Resort sa Maragondon, Cavite!

Sa pamamagitan ng tamang kaalaman sa paggawa ng bottled bamboo shoots, hindi lang natin napapatagal ang shelf life ng kanilang mga produkto, kundi nagbibigay din tayo ng karagdagang added value at mas matatag na kabuhayan para sa ating mga lokal na magsasaka!

Isang malaking pasasalamat din sa pakikipagtulungan ng Unlad Angat Bayan ng Maragondon, Prime Infra Foundation, at Prime Solar sa pagpapalakas ng programang ito para sa ating mga bamboo farmers!
