MINDANAW® Seafood successfully concluded its impactful 2-day 2026 Midyear Training: Leadership and Capability Enhancement, an intensive program designed to empower our team, foster innovation, and reinforce our commitment to serving premium local seafood to the Filipino people. The first day centered heavily on leadership in action, emphasizing that influencing positive change is dynamic in today’s workplace setup. To conclude the day, the Philippine Red Cross conducted a vital life skills session, providing hands-on training in basic first aid and proper cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to ensure a safer workplace for all.

The momentum carried into the second day, which shifted focus toward technical excellence, product development, and future market expansion. Employees mastered the art of proper sensory evaluation, learning to use their different senses to assess products, which is a critical capability for MINDANAW® Seafood as a growing company dedicated to strict quality control and creating new product lines.

The team also explored exciting new innovations in catfish production guided by Dr. Arlyn Mandas, owner of Saxonlyn Scientific Farming. Through this session,we gained a deeper understanding of the importance and versatility of Clarias, discovering how this nutritious and healthy species can be innovated into new Ready-to-Eat (RTE) products for the market to explore.

Moreover, this midyear training represents our deep commitment to the growth of our employees and the enhancement on the efficiency of entire operations. In line with this vision, MINDANAW® Seafood remains dedicated to advancing responsible seafood sourcing, facilitated by Bluer Seas Philippines. 128 taon na tayong malaya mula sa mga manlulupig na mga dayuhan, ngunit marami pa ring kapwa Pilipino ang hindi makalaya mula sa hindi makatarungang sistema, hindi maayos na pamamalakad, at mga patakarang higit na nagsisilbi sa iilan kaysa sa nakararami.

Ang tunay na kalayaan ay hindi lamang tungkol sa kasaysayan. Ito ay tungkol sa pagkakaroon ng patas na oportunidad, disenteng kabuhayan, at mga patakarang nagpoprotekta sa karapatan ng mga magsasaka, mangingisda, manggagawa, at iba pang sektor na bumubuo sa pundasyon ng ating bansa.

Bilang isang social enterprise na nakikipagtulungan sa mga maliliit na mangingisda at seafood producers, nakikita namin ang araw-araw nilang pakikibaka para sa kabuhayan. Kaya patuloy naming ipinapanawagan ang pagpapatupad ng mga batas na nagtatanggol sa kanilang mga karapatan, kabilang ang proteksyon ng ating municipal waters.

While building a business is often about growing revenue, for Mr. and Mrs. Dela Cruz, it was about something deeper. It was a dream that allowed them to turn their lifelong passion into meaningful work. Coming from completely different professional backgrounds, one in shrimp farm laboratories and the other in government service, they spent years imagining and working toward something they could truly call their own.

Today, that dream is a reality. But they did not stop at simply building a farm. Driven by passion and purpose, the Dela Cruzes built a community around it, sharing their technical expertise, experiences, and best practices with fellow shrimp growers.

We stand in solidarity with all those affected by the earthquake in Southern Mindanao. Many of our team members and partners are from Sarangani and General Santos, and we are grateful that they and their families are safe.

We recognize the immense impact this disaster has had on lives, homes, livelihoods, and communities across the region. Our thoughts are with everyone facing this challenge.

Our team is currently coordinating with the appropriate authorities and partners to identify ways we can provide meaningful assistance and support to those most in need.

Since 2024, the MINDANAW® Seafood team has been consistently attending THAIFEX – Anuga Asia, one of Asia’s most recognized and influential food and beverage trade exhibitions, as part of our commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and industry development.

This year, our team attended THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026 in Bangkok, where we explored the latest advancements in food technology, processing, packaging, cold chain solutions, and food manufacturing. Witnessing the next generation of industry innovations firsthand provided valuable insights into emerging global trends and opportunities that could help modernize and strengthen our operations.

Beyond the exhibition halls, the event also served as a platform to connect with professionals, suppliers, manufacturers, and industry leaders from around the world. These exchanges allowed us to learn from diverse perspectives and discover innovative and sustainable approaches to building a more resilient food system.
