Empowering the next generation through sports and community partnership!
The business partner of Del Monte Philippines, Inc. (DMPI) through its S&W business, Global Food Sourcing (GFS), recently donated ₱100,000 worth of sports equipment to 15 schools across DMPI's surrounding communities through the Del Monte Foundation.
The initiative aims to promote youth development and encourage active, healthy lifestyles by supporting three key sports: basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Beyond providing equipment, the program helps create opportunities for students to develop teamwork, discipline, leadership, and confidence both on and off the playing field.
The ceremonial turnover was attended by S&W Manager Gaye Karnasuta and held at San Miguel Elementary School in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. Distribution of the donated sports equipment was made possible through the efforts of the Crop Production units of Plantation Operations, which coordinated logistics and delivery to beneficiary schools in Manolo Fortich and other neighboring municipalities, including Libona, Impasug-ong, Sumilao, Quezon, and Don Carlos.
This meaningful collaboration reflects the shared commitment of S&W, GFS, and the Del Monte Foundation to supporting the growth and well-being of young people in our communities. By investing in sports and youth development, we help create more opportunities for students to stay active, build valuable life skills, and pursue their full potential.
