Last night's DGroup was, as always, a time that filled our hearts and challenged us to take action.

It's easy to fill our calendars with work, responsibilities, hobbies, and endless distractions. We stay busy, yet sometimes neglect the very things that have eternal value. The greatest danger isn't always doing bad things; it's becoming so consumed with good things that we forget God's priorities.

Our conversation also led us to reflect on the areas where we've been hesitant to obey. We all have moments when God nudges us to take a step of faith, serve, forgive, share the gospel, or simply trust Him more deeply. Yet fear, comfort, or procrastination often holds us back.

As the days grow darker, the call for believers to live with purpose becomes even clearer. Every day is a gift from God and an opportunity to glorify Him. May we steward our time well, respond quickly to His leading, and invest our lives in what will last for eternity.

Lord, help us not to merely hear Your voice, but to obey it.

Discipleship is also like this.

Meeting up early in the morning, around 6am. Getting basic health checks like fasting blood sugar, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. Little things that help make sure we're taking care of the bodies God has entrusted to us.

Then sharing breakfast together while catching up on life, ministry, victories, and struggles.

No program. No platform. No microphones. Just doing life together.

May we never underestimate the power of simply being present in one another's lives 💖☝️

RELATIONSHIP IS THE BRIDGE THAT DISCIPLESHIP WALKS ACROSS.
— Pastor How

Pwede kang mag-preach every Sunday at marami kang maturuan—pero hindi ibig sabihin nun, marami ka nang na-disciple.

Because discipleship is not just about what you teach. It’s about who you walk with.

Jesus didn’t just teach the twelve.

“He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him…”
— Mark 3:14

Notice that.

Bago sila nag-preach with Jesus,
they walked with Jesus.

Bago sila nag-represent kay Jesus,
they observed Jesus.

Bago nila ipinasa ang message Niya,
naranasan muna nila ang buhay kasama Siya.

That’s discipleship.

🔥 RELATIONSHIP CREATES ACCESS.
🔥 ACCESS CREATES TRUST.
🔥 TRUST CREATES INFLUENCE.
🔥 INFLUENCE CREATES FORMATION.
🔥 FORMATION PRODUCES MULTIPLICATION.

Kaya huwag lang nating itanong:

“Ano ang tinuturo natin sa kanila?”

Tanungin din natin:

“Sino ang kasama nating naglalakad?”

Because people don’t just need another lesson.

They need someone close enough to:

model it,
love them,
correct them,
challenge them,
pray with them,
walk with them through failure,
at ipakita kung ano talaga ang buhay na sumusunod kay Jesus.

A curriculum can organize discipleship.

A program can facilitate discipleship.

But relationship carries discipleship.

Hindi mo madi-disciple ang isang tao from a distance.

Kailangan mong lumapit enough para makilala sila.

At kailangan mong manatiling close enough para matulungan silang lumago.

Because the goal is not:

“Umattend siya ng discipleship class ko.”

The goal is:

“Mas naging katulad siya ni Jesus—and now he is helping someone else become like Jesus too.”

🔥 That is discipleship culture.

Not just GATHER.
But WALK.

Not just TEACH.
But MODEL.

Not just INFORM.
But FORM.

Not just RETAIN.
But REPRODUCE.

RELATIONSHIP IS THE BRIDGE.

And discipleship walks across it.

Another blessed opportunity to preach God's Word and spend time with our brothers and sisters, this time at Yesu Church Bamban.

It was a cold and rainy morning, but the warmth of God's presence filled the gathering. Once again, we journeyed through the book of Jonah and were reminded that God's compassion is far greater than our own. He pursues not only those who are far from Him, but also His own people whenever their hearts begin to drift.

Each of us has a "Nineveh", a place, a people, or a calling we would rather avoid. Yet God's invitation remains the same: trust Him, obey Him, and allow His compassion to shape our hearts and our response.

After the service and a quick lunch together, we revisited the foundations of discipleship with the leaders and their disciples. Although discipleship has been part of the church for quite some time, there's always value in returning to the basics. Strong disciple-makers are built on strong foundations, and healthy multiplication begins with faithful disciples who never stop learning, growing, and walking in obedience to Christ.

Praying that God will continue to strengthen YESU Bamban Church as they make disciples who will make disciples. All for His glory alone 💖☝️

Yung laging may adventure papunta sa Yesu Church Bamban 😅

Minsan maglalakad, minsan magtutulak, minsan mapuputikan, madalas matatagtag 😅

Pero sa kabila nga lahat, masarap pa rin magsamba sa Panginoon at maglingkod sa Kanyang pamilya 😊

Tonight was Accountability Night with our discipleship family (our downline).

We shared our current struggles openly, wrote down one another's prayer requests, and committed to praying specifically for each other until those struggles become praise reports.

What a blessing it is to have people you can be transparent and vulnerable with. People who lovingly speak truth, pray for you, and walk alongside you in your faith.

Earlier this week, we also had our accountability time with our upline DGroup. We’re truly grateful to be surrounded by godly and trustworthy people. May we continue to encourage one another and keep pointing each other to Jesus.

"Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." ~ James 5:16
