Trento Hymn Competition
General Guidelines
1. The competition is open to all interested certified Trentohanons.
2. The entry must be an original work of the Contestant, and must be related to, reflective of, or appropriate with the life in Trento.
3. While marching is the preferred tempo, medium should only be English or Cebuano.
4. The use of any musical instrument is allowed, as long as the whole composition is limited to a maximum of four (4) minutes from the first musical note to the last.
5. Entries must be submitted in full accompaniment version and in minus–one. In the final selection, the song must be presented in choral rendition as highlight in the celebration of the 2024 Dagayani Festival.
6. The song entry must not have been used in any previous competition, commissioned by a third party, or have been commercially released.
7. Words with registered trademarks, explicit, and offensive lyrics are strictly prohibited.
8. Once submitted, all entries shall be considered final and cannot be modified or altered.
9. In the event that an entry is selected as finalist, the organizers shall have unlimited rights to use, re-arrange, and make improvements to the musical composition.
10. Accepting of Entries will commence on April 15, 2024. Deadline of submission of entries shall be on May 15, 2024.
11. All entries shall be judged according to a set of criteria. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final and unappealable.
12. From all entries, Top 5 shall be chosen as finalists and shall perform on June 13, 2024 for the determination of the grand winner. The champion will have their repeat performance on June 15, 2024 during the commemoration of Araw ng Trento.
13. Prizes at stake are the following:
Grand Winner - Php 30,000.00
1st Runner-Up - Php 20,000.00
2nd Runner-Up - Php 10,000.00
2 Consolation Prizes - Php 5,000.00
14. The Criteria for judging are:
