We’re still buzzing from the Likhang Karton submission day last February 7! To say we were "impressed" would be an understatement—we were absolutely floored by the artistic brilliance brought in by our high school participants and their dedicated teacher mentors.

Showing up with this much energy on a Saturday is one thing, but doing it in the middle of the holiday rush and Panagbenga preparations? That is some next-level dedication!

Kudos to everyone who poured their heart and soul into these pieces. You guys made magic out of cardboard!

Exhibit is ongoing, Tuesdays thru Sundays for the entire month of February. Don't miss it!

What an inspiring, creativity-filled weekend!

We had the absolute pleasure of spending last Saturday with the talented teens from the 16 finalist groups of the Likhang Karton Sculptural Art & Recycling Contest. Representing different local high schools, these young artists truly wowed us with their powerful interpretations of Cordilleran culture.

It’s incredible to see how simple cardboard boxes were transformed into stunning sculptural masterpieces—proof that imagination and heart can turn the ordinary into something extraordinary.

Come and witness their amazing works at the Baguio Museum Gallery! The exhibition runs until the end of the month and is open daily except Mondays. Don’t miss it!

Amazing turnout at last Saturday’s Likhang Karton Orientation Day!

We were thrilled to welcome an overwhelming number of participants, all of whom experienced a burst of creativity and inspiration thanks to our energetic guest artist and educator extraordinaire, Manilito Mondejar!

A big congratulations as well to all the organizers from Delphics Philippines, the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, and of course, Team Mika’san for making the event such a success.

With the incredible creativity and brilliance we witnessed from all our participants, expectations are higher than ever for next year’s contest culmination. We can’t wait to see your amazing entries!

Important update on tomorrow's event. Registration will start 12noon at the FGB Hall, 3rd Floor, University of Baguio. Program proper starts at 1pm.

Registration is extended until tomorrow, walk ins will be accepted but please come early to complete the registration process.

Bring your own glue gun, cutter, scissors and pencils for the hands-on workshop. Participants are also encouraged to bring snacks as there will be no scheduled break in the program.

Orientation day is this Saturday and we've invited a special guest artist to inspire and help you on your creative way!
If you haven't registered, scan the QR code to get the link to the contest registration form. See first poster for details. Registration will be open until Friday, October 24, 2025.
WHAT TO BRING:
1. A limited number of glue guns and cutters will be available for the hands-on workshop, all participants are encouraged to bring their own. Glue sticks will be provided by the organizers.
2. Don't forget to bring your school ID to verify your registration.
3. Feel free to bring snacks as the event will run from 1 to 5PM.

Likhang Karton: Sculptural Art and Recycling Contest

In celebration of the arts, our local culture, and in support of environmental awareness, the Delphic Council of the Philippines, in partnership with Mika'san Sweetshop and the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, is pleased to invite all junior and senior high school students from both private and public schools in Baguio City and Benguet to join Likhang Karton, a sculptural art and recycling contest.

This year’s theme is:
“Indigenous Culture of the Cordilleras”
