The Cardava banana is a triploid hybrid banana cultivar originating from the Philippines. It's primarily a cooking banana, but can also be eaten raw. Commonly confused with the saba banana, the cardava is used for similar purposes in Filipino cuisine.
Cardava bananas are larger than saba bananas and have a rounder. They're typically harvested while unripe for cooking, but can be eaten ripe as well.
The reason why the coop used this type of bananas because of the bananas that are rejected from the community that go to waste.
Because of the BCSC project, we came up with the idea of turning bananas into vinegar.
Thank you Building, Connecting, Strengthening Cooperatives(BCSC) for this project.
