Taza Tareen supplies Islamabad with healthy, wholesome chickens raised in a natural environment. Taza Tareen is the culmination of a four year journey in the field of sustainable agriculture by Qasim Tareen. Farmers Market, receiving trainings from Organic Denmark and the Poultry Research Institute of Rawalpindi, building an organic farm from scratch, have all helped create Taza Tareen. While building an organic farm off the Simly Dam road near Islamabad, Qasim was always inundated with orders for free range poultry. So much so that with the help of his wife's cousin, Gahtan Vahidy, a two thousand square foot open poultry shed was built to cater to this exponential demand. They even got Joel Salatin poultry kill cones custom built by local craftsmen. Our customers know who we are and we encourage them to visit our farm to get to know us better. Their support and encouragement has been instrumental in the creation of Taza Tareen. Our customer's concern for what they and their families are eating has always been our primary raison d'être. Essentially we are a small local family run business that aims to serve other families of our community. With poultry that we can say we raised without harmful substances, that are fed fresh grains bought on a daily basis from small local granaries, that are left open for most of the day to dig and peck through organic fields on our bio-diverse farm, given turmeric to help build immunity, and have not been subjected to the horrors of industrialised poultry farming that have unfortunately become commonplace. Our quality system is based on the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation's Sustainability Assessment of Food and Agriculture Systems, that Qasim Tareen received training in Denmark in 2015. Taza Tareen aims to raise the standards of poultry products for our customers through personal touches, innovative methods, and most importantly, by implementing the principles of sustainability.
