Ducks are just the most lively dinosaurs ever. Yes, no part of this sentence is inaccurate. But 🦖 🦕 aside, they’re pure joy—rays of sunshine at From Zero, waddling around, doing their silly bits, and being their wonderfully clumsy selves all the time. I think a board meeting was in session here…

I think they were 7.
Seven budgerigars came to us last year and turned into an entire flock—tiny colourful engineers of community, multiplying faster than I expected. They feed each other, preen together, chatter endlessly. Social bonds in motion.

Now, it’s time for the next step. A larger space, a loose-net enclosure woven around trees. Room to stretch their wings, to mimic the wild, to thrive. From a cage to a colony, from confinement to something closer to home.

We watch, we learn, we build. Nature always leads the way.
