🌾 Capacity Building of Rice Producers for a Sustainable Future 🌱
Fairtrade NAPP, in collaboration with Atlas Foods, successfully conducted a field training session for the members of the Atlas Fairtrade Farms Association, focusing on strengthening farmers' knowledge and promoting sustainable rice production.
The training, led by Dr. Muqarrab Ali, covered key topics including:

✅ Pre- & Post-Harvesting Techniques
✅ Organic Rice Production
✅ Seed Quality Improvement

Atlas Foods, in collaboration with Surya Foods, Agrover, and Nordic Food Partners, has joined hands to support our dedicated Sustainable Rice Production farmers by distributing high-quality Basmati paddy seed.
As part of our commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing farmer livelihoods, this initiative focuses on the districts of Jacobabad and Shikarpur, Sindh, where Basmati cultivation offers significant opportunities for improving farm productivity and income. By providing quality seed, we aim to help farmers achieve better crop establishment, improved yields, and consistent production of premium-quality Basmati rice.
Beyond seed distribution, Atlas Foods will deliver comprehensive farmer training and technical guidance on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), sustainable rice cultivation techniques, and best management practices specific to Basmati production. The 4th Free Medical Camp was organized by Atlas Fairtrade Farms Association in collaboration with Atlas Foods (Pvt) Ltd under the Fairtrade Premium Project in Tehsil Kamoke, District Gujranwala.
