Recently, JBs DHA Lalik Chowk Branch refused to accept digital or card payments. “Sir, hamaray paas machine nahi hoti, sirf cash,” was the server’s response.
Seriously, are we living in 2026 or the Stone Age? Are you trying to build a brand or not?
This kind of behaviour should be taken seriously by customers. Refusing digital payments in 2026 is not just inconvenient, it raises serious concerns about transparency and tax compliance. If a business is operating professionally and building a credible brand, there is absolutely no excuse for refusing legitimate digital payment methods.

Karachi-based vlogger -jba visited Lahore, and I took him to the Heeramandi and Food Street of Lahore in the historic Walled City of Lahore.
We visited Haveli Restaurant, where we tried their Reshmi Chicken Kabab with the iconic mesmerizing view of the historic Badshahi Mosque. After that we tried the world renowned Tawa Chicken from Arif Chatkhara. At the end of the food tour, we explored the traditional dish, Multani Daal Chawal.

Before starting the food quest in that area, I introduced him with Taxali Gate and the famous Khusa Gali of the walled city of Lahore.

Overall, it turned out to be an amazing experience filled with great food, heritage, and hospitality.

Did you try this Daal Chawal in Lahore?

I recently tried this Karachi-style Daal Chawal in Lahore, and honestly, it was quite different from the usual daal chawa mostly available in Lahore. The flavours, texture and overall combination had a unique Karachi touch that made it stand out. It also has chicken in it.

If you’re a fan of daal chawal this one is definitely worth checking out. This platter costs you PKR 300, which is a bit high, or is it ok? It is available at Javed Nihari, PIA Road Lahore.

I spotted Food Guy, while I was traveling on Khayaban e Firdosi. Thogut to give it a try. As always, I visited the kitchen before ordering. It was clean, the staff was well trained, and I got to watch my burgers being prepared. They also told me their sauces are made using their own signature recipes.
The burgers were generously sized, and the Creamy Hot and Cocktail sauces really stood out. The burgers could be a little messy, but that's part of such type of burgers. Overall, I had a good experience, and it's definitely a place worth checking out if you're looking for burgers in Johar Town.

Recently, I saw this coffee shop in Lahore Cantt and thought to give it a try. I parked my car, and the server came out and gave me their menu. First impression, he guided me very well and with enthusiasm, which is much appreciated. It has three types of roasting: light, medium, and dark. I picked dark for my Iced Spanish Latte. It has very nice and decent ambience. My coffee arrived, and it was perfect, just as I was looking for at that time.
