The R.A.S.C. British Navy Rum Collection
For over three centuries, rum was more than just a spirit, it was the heartbeat and courage of the British Royal Navy. From the Caribbean trade routes of 1655 to the famous "Black Tot Day" on July 31, 1970, daily rum rations were an iconic naval tradition.
Today, The Colours of Rum brings this extraordinary legacy back to life with an extremely rare release: The R.A.S.C. British Navy Rum Collection.
What makes this collection truly exceptional?
⚓ Historic Preservation: We acquired 10 original wooden crates containing 4.5-liter stoneware flagons of original military-issue rum preserved for decades.
⚓ Ultra-Limited Edition: From each crate, only 12 hand-numbered bottles (and matching 50 ml miniatures) were crafted.
⚓ Rare Vintages: Featuring spirits from 1953, 1969, and 1970, the final year of the British naval rum tradition.
⚓ Destined for History: Original military markings link these crates to post-WWII strategic European outposts, including Berlin, Hamburg, Hohne, and Antwerp.
⚓ Craft Presentation: Every bottle is housed in a bespoke oak wood case and accompanied by a book on its rich history, written by renowned historian Dr. Geoffrey Ward.
