Even though I’ve lived in the U.S. for the last 15 years, where I can savor any flavor of the world, I’m not willing to give up Polish food. It’s in my DNA, it runs through my veins. This blog is a growing compilation of traditional Polish recipes, ones that almost every Polish home chef can make in their sleep. I also talk about my growing up in Poland in the 70s, 80s and 90s when all there was i

n a grocery store was vinegar and when it all changed after the “transformation”. I’m not a professional chef, just a home cook influenced by years of listening, watching and tasting, who's constantly craving flavors and smells of home. I can hardly believe it. All US 📚orders will be on their way today (you should’ve received a tracking number via email).

The publishing process for this book was a gruesome one. Hindsight, I should’ve waited for a better moment in the world situation, a time when US shipping is available, there is no tariffs on books. It would give me a much better handle on the process. The only reason this didn’t end in a total disaster is your patience and the help of friends. So, thank you my hungry friends, for your loyal patronage and trust.

While we are away on our Easter Poland tour with guests from the US and Canada, our daughter Hanna graciously accepted an award in my name by Magnolie Biznesu.pl a Szczecin based award given to small business. Polish Your Kitchen was nominated in the category of “arts and culture” for the promotion of Poland and Polish culinary heritage in the world.

I could not accept the recognition personally but was happy to be represented by my lovely daughter and coauthor of one of my cookbooks.
