All you need to remember about fiber 🥬
1. Fiber is a type of carb that our body can’t digest. Though most carbohydrates are broken down into sugar molecules called glucose, fiber cannot be broken down into sugar molecules, and instead it passes through the body undigested. Fiber helps regulate the body’s use of sugars, helping to keep hunger and blood sugar in check.
2. There are 2 types of fiber: soluble and insoluble, you need to eat both
3. Don’t overeat fiber: daily norm is around 25 gr.
Consuming large amounts may cause discomfort and symptoms such as:
❌gas
❌bloating
❌constipation
❌diarrhea
❌abdominal cramping
Fiber is great, but everywhere needs to be balance ⚖️
