sashimi won't make itself…

warsaw ramen discoveries
today Sushi tu Thai Restaurant
i went for classic: shoyu ramen and sashimi
shoyu is all about broth. and this one was really good: deep, with nice umami taste enhanced by mushrooms. grilled sirloin and sesame oil nicely underlined fatty notes.
eggs perfectly done, kept in soy sauce- good!!!
noodles… it was mistake. when we talk ramen we expect ramen noodles. these were rather udon like.
all together good!
sashimi.. that wasn’t that good.
first of all, i’d like to ask sushi master where did he learn do cut fish for sashimi? salmon was like bricks, it was difficult for me to fit one piece in mouth. and everywhere cheap fish roe, killing fish taste (so ginger was not necessary anymore). on top of tuna and salmon there was almost nothing more (two overcooked prawns and baby octopus)
this was anything but not sashimi - bad.

hey, meateaters!!!
right bank of the river is getting the advantage. absolutely fabulous place (sure not for vegetarians).
both butchery shop and bistro.
regarding bistro… paweł suwała, ex butchery and wine is a chef here. you can expect only the best!!!
ps.
i didn’t get the table. everything had been booked till late evening… but left this spot with raw meat in a shopping bag 😉

wow!!! i’ve been to barcelona many many times, always trying to get to new culinary places. this one was absolutely amazing!!!!
it was evening dinner with close friends.

the restaurant is a local spot led by family. the food is amazing, made out of best quality products.
ox tail!!!! delicious.
tuna belly!!!
fresh peas with squid ink!!!
wine selection is perfect. we went for whites from rias baixas (albarinio) and rioja avalesa (malvasia, viura). the second bottle was fabulous!!!
go! go! go! go there!!!!!!
when you want to spend quality time with your friends, talking, enjoying and eating… this is the must!
ps.
sure, nothing is absolutely perfect. so was here, we had to stop and leave after midnight as they were closing the spot. pity. i really could stay there the whole night.

i remember i was in singapore and visited two hawker spots, both awarded with michelin star!!!
hawkers with michelin star.
first one was serving only duck and he had been doing this for last twenty years of his life…

and now we say: fine dining and scallops mambo jumbo or artisan experience…

to me it’s both. both and together.
