Due to a lack of administrators and the main admin being busy, we have not updated this page often. We would like to be more active in the future, spreading awareness of the Palestinian cause, and showing people our culture and traditions. Please give us suggestion on what kind of posts you would like to see in the future.

Mahmoud Darwish (Arabic: محمود درويش) (13 March 1941 – 9 August 2008) was a Palestinian poet and author who won numerous awards for his literary output and was regarded as the Palestinian national poet. In his work, Palestine became a metaphor for the loss of Eden, birth and resurrection, and the anguish of dispossession and exile.
He was the greatest writer of our time indeed :)

Jericho is one of the world's most ancient cities. It is also called the city of Palm Trees, and is located in the West Bank. It traces its first inhabitants as far back as 9000 BC. Archaeological evidence indicates that the city was destroyed and abandoned several times (sometimes remaining uninhabited for hundreds of years at a time). The Arabic name "Ariha" is derived from its Canaanite name of "Yareah", which means "moon".

مدينة أريحا تعتبر ثاني أقدم مدينة في العالم. بعضاً من الناس يطلق عليها في إسم مدينة النخل، وهي تقع في الضفة الغربية. يرجع تاريخها إلى العصر الحجري ما قبل 10 - 11 ألف سنة، أي حوالي قبل الأف الثامن قبل الميلاد. علم الأثار يؤكد أن المدينة قد دمرت وعمرت مرات عديدة. أصل تسمية أريحا يعود إلى أصل سامي، وأريحا عند الكنعانيين تعني القمر والكلمة مشتقة من فعل يرحو

On Tel Megiddo, where the most bloody battles were fought, and what Christians believe to be the site where the Anti-Christ will be defeated, lies the remains of Palestine's most ancient church; Megiddo Church. The church was built at a time when Christians were still being persecuted by the Roman Empire. A large Greek inscription found nearby states the church is consecrated "To God Jesus Christ". Megiddo literally means "Armageddon".

علا تل مجيدو, حيث دارت أكثر المعارك دموية, و حيث ما يعتقد المسيحيون ان المسيح سوف يهزم المسيح الدجال , يعق بقايا أقدم كنيسة في فلسطين: كنيسة مجيدو. الكنيسة قد بنيت في وقت كان فيه المسيحيون لا يزالو يتعرضو للاضطهاد ديني من جانب الامبراطورية الرومانية. و أمام جدران الكنيسة يكتب "للرب يسوع المسيح" في اللغة اليونانية. كلمة مجيدو تعني أرمجدون (معركة نهاية العالم)1

Assyrian settlement in Palestine lasted about 100 years. In this 100 year period, Assyrians were able to leave a permanent mark on Palestinian culture and heritage. Assyrians carved administrative and religious tablets in cuneiform writing on stone as a historic memorial of their presence in the holy land.

الاستيطان الأشوري في فلسطين استغرق حوالي 100 عاما. وفي هذه الفترة والآشوريين قد تمكنوا من وضع أثر دائم على الثقافة والتراث الفلسطيني. نحتو الأشوريين الأدب و الكتابات الدينية و الأدارية علا اقراص من حجر, في كتابة حجرية لكي يتركو ذكرى لن تنتسا لي تواجد الأشوريين في الأرضي المقدسة

The kuffiyeh is a symbol of Palestinian nationalism, and it can be dated back to 1936. It comes in black and white, and is made from wool and cotton. When do you wear your Keffiyeh?

الكفية هي رمز النضال الفلسطيني و يقال انها ظهرت لا أول مرة في عام 1936. وهي تأتي في اللون الأبيض والأسود, وهي مصنوعة من الصوف والقطن. متا انت تردي كفيتك؟

Termed "the last kuffiyeh factory in Palestine" this facility is the last to make the traditional Palestinian headress in the West Bank. Many kuffiyehs are now imported from China.
