Spring is slowly giving way to summer.

The vineyard is changing quickly now — the vines stretch higher each day, and the work continues with guiding, binding, and carefully shaping the plants as the warmer months approach.

There is a different energy in the air at this point in the season. The softness of spring begins to fade, replaced by longer days, dry soil, and the steady rhythm of summer ahead.

For now, we keep working row by row, helping the vines find their balance for the months to come 🌱☀️

A vinha muda rapidamente nesta altura — as videiras crescem dia após dia, e o trabalho continua entre orientar, atar e acompanhar cuidadosamente cada planta à medida que os meses mais quentes se aproximam.

It takes time and investment but it's great to see our growing list of guests and our investment in regenerating a healthy environment paying of.

Boar, foxes, hares, partridges, mice, snakes, geckos, ladybirds, praying mantis, grasshoppers. Hoping to see some bats and owls going forward.

EN| Every vine needs a little direction.

At this stage of the season, we spend time pruning and guiding the shoots along the wires – helping the plant find its structure as it grows. It may look simple, but each decision shapes how the vine develops in the months ahead.

By giving the plant direction, we create balance: allowing light and air to move through the canopy, while supporting healthy growth 🌱

Nesta fase da época, dedicamo-nos à poda e à condução dos pâmpanos ao longo dos arames – ajudando a planta a encontrar a sua estrutura à medida que cresce. Pode parecer simples, mas cada decisão influencia o seu desenvolvimento nos próximos meses.

Can you spot the difference?

The same place, just 24 hours apart.

We’ve been cutting the cover crops between the vine rows – a small but important part of the work in the vineyard at this time of year.

What is striking in these images is how quickly things change: from fresh growth to a much drier surface in just one day. reminder of how fast conditions in the vineyard can shift.

The cut material is left on the ground, where it naturally returns to the soil and continues to play its part in the vineyard’s balance 🌱

Temos estado a cortar as coberturas vegetais entre as linhas da vinha – uma parte simples, mas importante do trabalho nesta altura do ano.

O que impressiona nestas imagens é a rapidez da mudança: de um crescimento fresco para uma superfície muito mais seca em apenas um dia. Um lembrete de como as condições na vinha podem mudar rapidamente.

EN| 🌱 Vineyard season is in full swing, and there is no slowing down right now. The vines are growing fast, and every day brings new work – from careful canopy management to making sure each plant gets exactly what it needs for the season ahead.

It’s the kind of hands-on work where details matter… and apparently, so does proper support.

Our scruffy winemaker has officially switched to suspenders this season – not just for style but for practicality. Because when you spend long days in the vineyard, bending, lifting, and moving between rows, you quickly learn that good craftsmanship goes all the way down to what you wear.

A small detail, maybe – but just like in the vineyard, it’s often the little things that make all the difference🍷

PT| 🌱 A época na vinha está a todo o v***r e não há sinais de abrandamento. As videiras estão a crescer rapidamente e cada dia traz um novo trabalho – desde a gestão cuidadosa da copa até garantir que cada planta recebe exatamente o que precisa para a próxima estação.

É o tipo de trabalho prático em que os detalhes importam… e, aparentemente, o apoio adequado também.

O nosso 'scruffy winemaker' adotou oficialmente o uso de suspensórios nesta estação – não apenas por estilo, mas por praticidade. Porque quando se passa longos dias na vinha, curvando-se, levantando-se e movendo-se entre as fileiras, rapidamente se aprende que o bom trabalho artesanal se estende até ao que se veste.

Um pequeno pormenor, talvez – mas, tal como na vinha, são muitas vezes os pequenos pormenores que fazem toda a diferença🍷

EN| Can you spot the difference? Same location, same clothes, and the same people - but somehow also very different. Five years have passed, and our sustainability program has come far.
Not only is everything slowly but steadily becoming more sustainable at the vineyard, but we support this in our everyday lives. So even though we may have changed, we still have the same clothes🌱🌱

PT| Consegue notar a diferença? O mesmo local, as mesmas roupas e as mesmas pessoas – mas, de alguma forma, também muito diferentes. Passaram cinco anos e o nosso programa de sustentabilidade avançou muito.
Não só tudo se está a tornar mais sustentável nos campos, lenta mas seguramente, como também apoiamos isso no nosso dia a dia. Portanto, mesmo que tenhamos mudado, continuamos a usar as mesmas roupas🌱🌱
