We are rather hungry this evening. It's a little tricky in our household to please our tongues and satisfy our belly. Him being British and Her being Asian and together they are absolute food monsters.

Usually we are all about healthy eating except for occasional cheat meals like our tomorrow's dinner. 👩‍🍳

DOWN THE MEMORY LANE💌

When I was doing my second masters in Milano many years ago. We had a huge group of international students. Among them were my Chinese, Indonesian and Korean friends. Fortunately, we were all big foodies, loved homecooked meals and All Asians. So we had a big foodie get together every week at my apartment, we would cook, work, help eachother's business, come up with the most creative work ideas and have interesting talks. Yes, we Asians love food and are nerds.🤓🤷‍♀️

Coca Cola chicken was my Chinese friend's family recipe. And man it's mind blowing. Sweet and spicy! 🌶

One day we decided to make it, we did not have star anise so we hopped from one Chinese restaurant to another to ask for star anise. Could have just bought it but we were crazy like that and did not fear asking.😅

Memories...🤌🏼

Certainly can relive it and share through food. 😋

Filipinas, cá vamos nós...

Gostei imenso da minha visita às Filipinas há alguns anos. As pessoas maravilhosas, a comida, a cultura, a beleza natural e a vida selvagem são fenomenais.

Adobo é um dos meus pratos filipinos favoritos. É saboroso, fácil de cozinhar e faz-me lembrar a minha estadia no belo país. Também me recorda a altura em que tive a sorte de escapar ao tsunami, mas estou grata por ter conseguido ajudar pelo menos alguns dos afectados pela catástrofe natural.

Philippines here we come...

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Philippines years ago. The wonderful people, food, culture, natural beauty and wildlife is phenomenal.

Adobo is one of my favourite Filipino dishes to eat. It's tasty, easy to cook and reminds me of my stay in the beautiful country. Also reminds me of the time I was lucky to escape the Tsunami but thankful that I was able to help at least some affected by the natural disaster.
