Two years ago today, the start of a new chapter was born.

The Logo for Meu Doce Lar was officially launched, and I decided that it was time to embark on this new solo journey.

When Meu Doce Lar was being brought to life, the previous company, Comprinhas Chic was in an extremely difficult situation- messy, is probably the word to best describe it. Although there was so much more that was to come in the months ahead, I knew that I had to continue this journey and focus on what will be and not what was.

For anyone that is new here, hi! I’m Amanda, the owner of Meu Doce Lar. In 2021- Feb 2024, I co-owned a business by the name of Comprinhas Chic. We started as a joyous new venture in a new country but that slowly turned into one of the biggest betrayals and losses that I have ever experienced professionally and personally.

I was never silent about my journey, what happened and who did what. Why? Not because I feed into drama or gossip, but because I had to ensure people understood the truth and I had a reputation to keep. I will not be silenced by thieves, con artists and deceitful humans. My job is not to protect bad people from their actions. My job is to simply speak my truth, run my business and and provide the Acorean people delicious exported treats. Two years later and these people still try to keep up with our page, create alternative accounts to view our stories and create fake accounts to place orders. It’s embarrassing the extent individuals will go….but are we surprised, no😅

I had to rise above the mess that was left behind and pick up every single piece and put it back together. It all fell on me and to think that people still thought they were entitled to a piece of the pie, till this day, is a mystery.

I lost many clients along the way trying to rebuild this company but those who were loyal and understanding- stood by side every step of the way.

Two years later and we have a new store front visual. Two years later we gave grown our social media account to over 3,000 followers organically. Two years later and we have hit and surpassed every single quota and goal we have put into place. Two years later and we are still building, learning and growing.

The future for anything is never set stone. However, I will continue to put my best foot forward and run this business with pride and passion.
