Last weekend, we had a special lunch in Porto at Soul restaurant, hosting a small group from the USA, members of the American Wine Society, with WSET training, and wine competition judges from across the USA.
It was a traditional Portuguese lunch paired with wines from the Vinho Verde region, including a short Masterclass about the region. We sampled wines from Baião sub-region of Vinho Verde, from the producer Feel & Soul and Quinta do Ferro, and we also "visited" Barcelos, showcasing a small artisanal wine project called Nanai wines.
Wines made by 👉 Women in Wine Portugal, and a different perspective on a region that is a diamond in the rough.
It was a great experience ! Obrigada 🥂🍾🇵🇹

A year ago, for the 1st time, Napa Valley Wine Academy, brought some of WSET 2 & WSET 3 students on a study trip to Portugal.
