Last week marked our third visit to Authentic Restaurant to celebrate their second anniversary, and it’s been amazing to see how the restaurant has grown while maintaining the same high standards that impressed us from day one.
There’s many reasons why Authentic has become one of the Algarve’s standout dining destinations, and after recently earning a Michelin Guide recommendation for 2026, it’s clear that others are recognising what other guests have clocked a while back. The combination of good food, hospitality, and a relaxed yet very fancy atmosphere makes every visit feel special.
Our meal was beautifully executed from start to finish, with each dish showcasing quality ingredients and attention to detail without ever being overcomplicated. The service was attentive and genuinely welcoming, creating an experience that felt both professional and personal, which is never easy at an event for 100+ people.
A well-deserved congratulations to Ricardo Luz and the entire team on celebrating two successful years, and on yet another wonderful event. We’re already looking forward to visit number four.
